COMA’s Christmas with the gifted.

Dear COMA Families,

Hope you are all in good spirits. The COVID -19 crisis has affected millions of people around the world. Our heart goes out to all those who are suffering from this pandemic, which is one of the worst disasters we have seen. As an active non-profit organization for the community, COMA’s focus is always to work with the community along with having fun.

 This year for Christmas, COMA invites our compassionate supporters to take the opportunity to render a helping hand to the gifted children of the Different Art Centre – https://www.differentartcentre.com (an organization run by renowned magician turned philanthropist Shri Gopinath Muthukad).DAC equipped these kids with the tools and talent to earn a life of their own, but then came COVID and the lockdowns, which made the lives of these kids extremely tough. With venues closed, they lost their sole source of income. During this season of joy when the world emphasizes the importance of suffering and being thankful, let’s work towards re-empowering these kids to regain their dignity & to flourish in this beautiful world with their gifted talents. To make this humble cause a success we will have our renowned singer, Shri G.Venugopal & team joining us on December 5th with a live music performance. We humbly request all our families to extend your support for this fundraising event “COMA’s Christmas with the Gifted”, which will see its culmination with our Christmas event on December 5th You can be part of this drive by donating $25 or above for member families or $27 or above for non-member families.The donor-ticket is per family. A large part of the cost for the event is footed from the existing fund and the remaining proceedings would be contributed to the cause. The event would be a donor-only event via a private link.

We, the Executive team, know we couldn’t haven done anything at COMA without your immense support, and we also know we could have also done a lot more if the COVID was not around. A lot has happened this year, as a token of gratitude for the memberships, which fuel a lot of activities at COMA, we would like to offer a restaurant discount coupon worth $20 for our member families($35 minimum purchase) and $10 for non-members(Minimum purchase $40) supporting this fundraising event, in association with spice9 restaurant in Columbus. The coupon is good for use between 5th -27th December. The restaurant has cook(s) from Kerala if there are enough orders they may be able to make the best of Kerala cuisine. Try to order ahead for the weekends and make the best use of the coupon.Coupon would be sent in a separate email later.

 The world as we see is now relying on virtuality for a lot of things. This fundraising and the Christmas event would be a COMA’s take on virtuality. The success of this event will heavily influence what COMA could do in future. Your support will give us a clear mandate on virtual events in the future. Thus any support you offer will not only make this event a success, but it will set a stage for the forthcoming COMA events.
