Hello Friends!

Hope you all had a ton of fun during the picnic on 17th!! Even though it was a scorching day, we had a record number of people attend the picnic and everyone enjoyed all of the games and food. Thanks to all who helped in making this event a success. Thanks to Sony and his catering business C&J Catering for the delicious kerala food.

University: University of Cincinnati, majoring in Business, minoring in Psychology/Photography. Future Goals: Master’s Degree at American University, move to Washington DC. Work at a large company or firm.
Deepak Warrier Parents: Sethu and Veda Warrier School: Dublin Jerome High School Hobbies: Playing Video Games, Watching movies, Building robots, Sleeping, playing Piano, and Camping. Achievements: Graduated with Valedictorian and Magna Cum Laude distinctions. Earned the President’s Education Award. Achieved Eagle Scout Rank in Boy Scouts. University: Ohio State University, majoring in Computer Science and Engineering Future goals: Get an MBA and then go on to work with a company like Google or create a startup.

 

India Festival

INDIA FESTIVAL:FIA will host their premier event – “India Festival” on August 26th. They are looking for volunteers to help out with the planning and organizing of this prestigious event. Community Service News: Nish Nishant

The COMA Meals on Wheels delivery volunteers for May were Manoj Thomas and Julie Manoj, and their children Alison and Melissa. Manoj is a long time COMA patron, Julie is a current trustee, and the children are both active youth wing volunteers. It’s quite appreciable that Manoj and family did this during the Memorial Day weekend when volunteers are typically hard to come by. Hopefully, this will motivate more volunteers to sign up for COMA’s Meals on Wheels initiative.

Arun Kumar, Priya Arun, Smitha Nishant, and Nish Nishant were the Meals on Wheels volunteers for June. The delivery route was completed on June 25th, Sunday.
As a reminder, COMA does Meals on Wheels deliveries on the fourth Sunday of each month to roughly 16 homes. If you are interested in volunteering, please get in touch with the executive committee. We welcome young volunteers too, who are aged 12 or older.
